Community Engagement

St Bernadette’s Primary School has committed to a whole learning community approach to student learning and wellbeing. We enjoy strong and productive relationships within the wider community which are alive and vibrant thanks to the support given by parents and other family members.

“Real education should consist of drawing the goodness and the best out of our own students. What better books can there be than the book of humanity.“
Cesar Chavez

community at our core

St Bernadette’s Primary School has committed to a whole learning community approach to student learning and wellbeing.

We enjoy strong and productive relationships within the wider community which are alive and vibrant thanks to the support given by parents and other family members. There are strong connections and a welcoming social atmosphere in the school, while the established bonds with the community support the school in its activities. Students benefit from the cohesive and supportive partnership that exists between teachers, the parish and parents. At St Bernadette’s, we value the partnership between parents and families who are encouraged to fully involve themselves in the life of the school.

As a community we celebrate a number of annual days and special events including:

  • Mother’s Day Breakfast
  • Father’s Day Breakfast
  • School Liturgies and celebrations

  • Harmony Day
  • Twilight Christmas Carols
